This would not be the first time God allowed evil men to have position of power to bring judgement upon deserving people and nations. It is unfortunate that many Godly people will also have to endure hardship during judgement-that also would not be a new thing. 2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

Again I say pray the will of God even when it is in direct conflict with your own. Endure as a soldier remembering the very simple truth all that will live Godly shall suffer persecution. Trust in the LORD completely. You will not be disappointed.

Acts 5:34-39 Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space; [35] And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men. Proverbs 3:5-8 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. [7] Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. [8] It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
