The prayer of Abraham for Lot comes to mind "shall not the judge of all the Earth do right".
There are those who are encouraging the Church to pray out the current leadership. It appears to me that the better course is to pray "thy will not mine". I lean more towards the admonition Gamaliel offered concerning the men of God. But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

This would not be the first time God allowed evil men to have position of power to bring judgement upon deserving people and nations. It is unfortunate that many Godly people will also have to endure hardship during judgement-that also would not be a new thing. 2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

Again I say pray the will of God even when it is in direct conflict with your own. Endure as a soldier remembering the very simple truth all that will live Godly shall suffer persecution. Trust in the LORD completely. You will not be disappointed.

Acts 5:34-39 Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space; [35] And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men. [36] For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought. [37] After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed. [38] And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: [39] But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

2 Timothy 2:1-4 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. [2] And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. [3] Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. [4] No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

Proverbs 3:5-8 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. [7] Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. [8] It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
